3.2 Provision for change of NIFT Campus shall be applicable to all UG & PG students whereas change of discipline shall be applicable to UG Design students only. 3.3 The request for permanent transfer would be considered on the seat vacancy position vis-à-vis merit of the student.

What is student permanent transfer NIFT?
In short we call it SPT(Student Permanent Transfer). The student who want to change their center and course can apply for this during the mid of 1st semester. For that you will be ask to pay some amount ( this year it was Rs 10K) which is refundabe in both the cases whether you get your seat or not through SPT.
Does NIFT provide laptop?
The complete ownership of Laptop will vest with NIFT, irrespective of cost of purchase till the Student concerned repays the loan amount in full and takes ownership. Laptops are non-transferable and cannot be sold off by the students. VII.
Why NIFT fees is so high?
NIFT of fee is high because in is an autonomous institute and hence is purely for profit hence the high fee. The facilities and faculties of NIFT are average and the fee for the same could be much lower. The placement rate is very low and not many students get placed through the placements.
Does ragging happen in NIFT?
RAGGING IN ANY FORM IS BANNED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE CAMPUS. STRICT ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST THE DEFAULTERS. NO LENIENCY WILL BE SHOWN TO THE OFFENDERS. SUSPENSION OR WITHDRAWAL FROM THE HOSTEL/ COLLEGE IS ONE OF THE ACTIONS TAKEN PROMPTLY.
