Can the Hulk breath underwater?

The Hulk has a rather unknown ability in breathing underwater, which he’s able to accomplish due to a gland in his body that creates oxygen to fill his lungs with. It’s something that often doesn’t come in handy, but the ocean is definitely a cool place for the Hulk to hide out when he doesn’t want anyone to find him.

Can the Hulk suffocate?

No. As far as water is concerned, Hulk’s body has a gland that makes an “oxygenated perfluorocarbon emulsion”, which creates pressure in his lungs and effectively lets him breathe underwater and move quickly between varying depths without concerns about decompression or nitrogen narcosis.

Can Hulk survive without oxygen?

Although the Hulk was in his gray (and arguably weaker) form, his lungs managed to hold enough oxygen to keep him from immediately suffocating in the vacuum of outer space. Thus, it’s possible that some Hulks can’t develop that special gland to survive underwater or heal from fatal injuries.

Could Thanos have killed Hulk?

Definitely. Thanos stood over a barely conscious opponent who couldn’t fight back. He easily could have killed Hulk then and there and may still have done had Hiemdall and Thor not agreed to send him to earth. Thanos could have easily killed Tony and Strange but purposefully hesitated.

Can Hulk live forever?

Theoretically he can, but he can live for so long that he is – in fact – immortal when it comes to aging. Bruce Banner, though, does age and if Banner died before transforming into Hulk, the Hulk would die as well.
