Both have their advantages but we really loved both the convenience and the efficiency of the Eurotunnel. It wasn’t in the least bit claustrophobic and in fact a very pleasant experience. We will certainly use it at least once on our next visit.

Can you see underwater on the Eurostar?

The Eurostar actually travels through the chalk sea-bed underneath the sea, so there is no impression of being underwater. If you were to climb out of the train and bore through the sides of the tunnel, you would merely see lots more damp chalk, not water.
