Yes. There is a month gap of approx 3 months and eligibility criteria is almost the same so you can apply for both.

Can commerce student clear CDS?

Yes a b.com student is eligible for the CDS exam if he/she meet up the age criteria as per the nature of commission in the Indian army. B com graduate is only can apply for the indian army.

Is CDS easier than Afcat?

My cousin have qualified both exams and without a doubt, CDS is the toughest one. The reason being that the CDS paper is created by the UPSC, whereas AFCAT is prepared by the Indian Air Force. So you have to think a lot when attempting CDS questions, it tests your conceptual knowledge.
